Le week-end dernier se jouaient les derniers matchs de la phase 2 des championnats de Jeunes.

Félicitations à nos 4 équipes qui ont toutes gagné leurs matchs.

Nos Cadets ont battu Musel Pikes (92-56) et restent de Division 2.
Nos Scolaires montent en Division 2 après leur victoire (85-48) contre Etzella B, avec 3 victoires pour 3 matchs.
Nos Minis avaient besoin d'une victoire contre Contern pour rester en 1ère Division, ils l'ont fait avec brio (51-43).
Nos Fillettes ont gagné leur dernier match contre Contern (25-19) et terminent à la 3ème place avec 2 victoires, 1 nul, 1 défaite et la meilleure attaque (120 points) du groupe.

La FLBB vient de communiquer la composition de différents groupes pour la phase finale.

Ce week-end, derniers matchs avant les fêtes de fin d'année.
Pour nos équipes de jeunes, les derniers matchs de la phase 2 seront importants et décisifs.



En cas de victoire nos Minis resteront en Div.1, nos Scolaires termineront premiers de leur groupe et monteront en Div. 2 et nos Cadets resteront en Div. 2.
La compétition reprendra donc le 7 janvier pour nos équipes Hommes A (à Kayl) et Dames A (à Wasserbillig) et en coupe pour nos Cadets (contre T71) et nos Minis (au Sparta)le 7 ou 8 janvier 2012.

The Nationale 2 has seen a weekend without any major suprises as all the favorites dominated their games easily.



In the game that could be expected as the most close, BC Mess crash Racing at home 91-67. Behind an unstoppable trio of Domonique Crawdford (32pts), Bojan Petrovic (25) and Chris Schreiner (17), Racing could not do anything and lost their second game in a row. The absence of Scott Morton is a major problem for the team from the capital that has fallen to the 5th spot and put itself into a worse situation than a few weeks ago. For BC Mess, the victory was important to stay in the race for the top 2 spots even if the gap is already two games.
Contern had no problems to win in Arlon where the hosts could only stay one quarter in the game. Mersch dominated Grengewald and underlined its ambitions to find the way back to the Diekirch League while the Hedgehogs made a huge step forward to secure the 6th place by beating Kayldall. Mondorf had no problem to beat a disastrous Kordall team that scored only 30 points in the whole game.

This weekend, the favorites will have some tricky games as Contern has to travel to Grengewald for a game that can be dangerous for the leaders. Black Star will host the Hedgehogs who came out of a good Cup game against Etzella but which can have an effect on their weekend performance because of fatigue. Racing should find the way back to the winning road as they will host the Kordallsteelers while BC Mess is not too much in danger as La Spetz in Arlon is not the mouse-trap that it was a few seasons ago. Mondorf should be able to improve their record against Kayldall and have to win this game if they want to reach the 6th spot somehow.

The second round of the Nationale 2 Regular season started without any major surprise. All the Top6 teams managed to win their games while AB Contern dominated easily Racing Luxembourg in their gym.


In the top game of the weekend, AB Contern only needed one half in order to take this game under their control. After the first twenty minutes, the team of coach Mark Reef led 38-26 in the Tramsschapp against a Racing team that had to play without their US Player Scott Morton. This was of course a major advantage for Contern which they used to earn their fourth victory in a row. BC Mess had a lot more problems to win in Mondorf but a good team effort and a dominant Bojan Petrovic (31pts) helped them to get this important win on the road. The hottest team of the moment is Grengewald Hostert who came up with its fifth victory in a row by beating Kayldall at home. The coaching change for the team from the south (Boris Kratsev replaced Roger Hayard) had not yet a major impact on the results. Bascharage and Black Star continued their season with easy wins over the two last-placed teams in the ranking.

This weekend, there will be several major games to follow in the Nationale 2. Racing will travel to Mondercange in a duel between two of the followers and play-off candidates that have had a season with multiple ups-and-downs so far. On the other hand, Black Star Mersch will host Grengewald in a duel for the 2nd place in the standings. The Greens won the first duel with a 13pts margin so everything seems possible and Carlo Achten’s boys made reach a DL promotion spot for the first time this season when they win. Contern should have no problems to win in Arlon while Mondorf will normally beat the Kordallsteelers as well. Bascharage travels to Kayl in an important game for the Hedgehogs where they can confirm their playoff ambitions and improve their record and remain in the race for one of the top 2 spots.
