All the decisions are there in the Nationale 2 so that the last weekend was more or less already a preparation for the Playoffs. It was however marked by a huge surprise.
In fact, the Red Miners from Kayl surprised AB Contern as they beat the leader 70-66 at home. Contern can say that they lost Chris Butler due to a back injury during the game but the result was still now awaited. It reduces the gap again to one point to the second placed Black Star Mersch who had no problems at all to destroy Racing 92-40. Bascharage and BC Mess had no problems to beat respectively Arlon and Kordall. Grengewald however lost surprisingly to Avanti Mondorf but it was too late for Yves Braun and his team to still reach the Playoffs.
The last day of the regular season will be played on Saturday with BC Mess facing Contern as the main game. The ABC has added Osadebawen (Deba) Alvin Egharevba for the rest of the season in order to replace the injured Chris Butler. Deba holds a Nigerian passport which gives them the flexibility to adapt the foreigner positions to the respective opponents. He has arrived to Luxembourg yesterday coming from the Division 3 school of East Texas Baptist University. He is a 1m95 tall forward. For the other games, Grengewald should normally beat Kordall, Mersch will have to win in Kayl in order to increase their gap to the third place by a maximum, Racing continues its downwards trend and might get another loss at home against the Hedgehogs while Mondorf has to win in Arlon to avoid any trouble in the Playdowns.
Avanti Mondorf organise vendredi 10 février 2012 à partir de 20h00 le traditionnel "All Star Game" pour la Nationale 2 au Hall Roll Delles.
A la mi-temps du match North-South aura lieu un Dunking-Contest.

On February 10, South and North will meet again in the Nationale 2 Allstar Game organized by Avanti Mondorf. The event will include a dunking-contest at half time, music, and an after party with DJ Fernand @ Brasserie International. The lineups for the game are not set yet, but will include most US and EU players as well as Luxembourgish players such as Hoeser, Nunes, Muepu, Penzotta, Julien, Kocks and Braun. Entry is free for the game and the after party!
