L'ancien joueur américain du BC Mess (saison 2008-2009), Derrick Harris (34 ans , 1m95) est de retour dans le championnat luxembourgeois.    

En effet Derrick va remplacer au Black Star, le joueur US, Billy Mc Daniel qui a actuellement des problèmes de santé.

Le BC Mess lui souhaite toute la réussite possible dans son nouveau club.

La FLBB a décidé de confier la responsabilité de l'équipe nationale U20 (Hommes) à notre entraîneur Jérôme Alff, dans l'optique des "Jeux des Petits Etats" qui auront lieu au Luxembourg en 2013.
Jérôme aura comme assistant Erny Gruskovnjak, actuel coach de l'équipe Dames des Musel Pikes.

U20-boys: Alff will coach the team
The FLBB will found an U20-team for boys in order to prepare the players for the Games of the Small States of Europe 2013, that will be held in Luxembourg. The basketball federation now announced that Jérôme Alff (picture), coach of the men’s team of BC Mess, will be responsible for this squad. His assistant will be Erny Gruskovnjak, current coach of the women’s team of the Musel Pikes.

The 1st gameday of the 2nd round has been marked by the major upset of the team from Kayl that managed to beat Racing behind an incredible scoring effort of John Grotberg. Together with Arpad Buzasi who is back from injury, the last team won against one of the favorites of the competition and re-launched their season in quest for non-relegation. Racing on the other hand got their third defeat in a row and their next opponents will not be easier. Another scoring effort could be registered in Bettembourg where the locals of BBC Nitia went for a new season-high score in their 114-96 victory over Grengewald. The player of the game was Billy Arre who underlined his status as top scorer of the League with incredible 57 points. Mondorf is unstoppable at the moment as the team of Guy Konsbrück won in Heffingen and lead the table now in front of the pack.
Finally, BC Mess got an important road victory in Larochette with Christian Schreiner scoring 26 and underlined their Top4 ambitions.

This weekend, two important games in the road for the Play-offs will be played between Racing and BBC Nitia while BC Mess will host US Heffingen. The boys of Eric Grand really want their revenge on BBC Nitia for the overtime loss in the 1st round.
On the other hand, BC Mess can score a highly important win at home against Heffingen and already make a huge step to qualify for the Top4.
Avanti Mondorf will normally beat Red Miners at home but the game in the beginning of the season showed that Kayl can beat the experienced Avanti Mondorf. Grengewald will play against Arantia Larochette and the Greens really need to improve their defense if they want to win this crucial game at home.
